In class the students do rollplay to learn how to best act while helping a patient from bed to wheelchaire. Here are 3 students in full play. All students take turn and afterwheards those who watched make comments. The students like to learn in this way. The programme started in february this year so there are a lot of aqquipment missing yet.
Is this an extra low bed?
ReplyDeleteYes it is an extra low bed. It is brand new since they just perchased it in starting the program.
DeleteIs this supposed to be the equivalent of a home nursing environment or is it just a bed where various patient moving exercises might be practiced?
ReplyDeleteIn this roleplay the students had to imagine how they would perform in someones own home (maybe that is why they have not moved the bed in a better hight to spare their backs). They had been given instructions before starting the play.

ReplyDeleteYes, it is steard by remote control. Engaged in roleplay the students forgot to move the bed in a better hight wich was one of the comments afterward during discusion.

ReplyDeleteIt is very good to have this kind of room. The students learn to work whith appliences. I think it helps the students to be more safe when they do their practice.
