Teaching staff

I was wondering what qualifications your staff have to have to teach in aged care?

Ours need to have a degree, which is usually in nursing, several years experience in aged care as well as at least a CIV in Training and Assessment.

We often struggle to find enough people with the above, who are available, and who are passionate about teaching. It is especially hard in our smaller campus at Ulladulla.

  1. The qualifications for VET teacher is at least 5 years of experience in care. For teaching you have to have an exam as VET teacher. Personally i have worked for 20 years in aged care.
